Jhene Aiko is an American R&B musician and vocalist. The singer became well-known in the year 2011 for the mixtape Sailing Souls(s) that she posted via her web site. She began her career in music at the age of a teenager as a vocalist of her favorite R&B band B2K. The group was falsely marketed as if they were one of the "cousin" to B2K rapper Lil Fizz. She made her debut as a background vocalist in 2002, contributing vocals for the song Cherry Pie on the soundtrack of The Master of Disguise. The former boyfriend of hers, ORyans's debut video"Take It Slow, featured her. She works primarily with R&B Hip-Hop or Rap. The track 3:16 AM, released through the popular publishing firm A&R has increased her popularity. It was available on iTunes as a download. When she was contacted to join Canadian singer Drake and contribute to Nothing Was the Same that she was recognized internationally. The Worst hit the number 1 spot on the US Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop-Airplay charts in May 2014. The song peaked at 11th place on the charts for Hot R&B/Hip-Hop. She was nominated in 2015 to win 3 Grammy Awards.
