Lita Rossana Ford (also known as Lita Ford is an American musician, singer and guitarist born in Britain. She was the lead guitarist for The Runaways, a hard-rock group comprised of girls in late 1970s. Their punkish music and provocative lyrics helped them get not only the attention of rock fans but also from the community. The group wasn't successful in The United States, it gained enormous popularity overseas. Ford's solo heavy metal career proved successful following the group break-up. She began voice lessons, and then released her debut solo album , 'Out for Blood' followed by 'Dancin' on the Edge. The albums of Ford were not particularly popular and she went on hiatus for a few years. The year was 1988, when she debuted her most successful album "Lita". Kiss Me Deadly (single) as well as Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were her biggest hits. Unfortunately, her popularity was only temporary and she was absent from the industry for many years. In 1995, she dropped "Black," and 15 years later 'Wicked Wonderland. The year 2016 brought the release of her latest studio album "Time Capsule". Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
